What if you held a workshop and NOBODY could come? That’s the new normal agencies are facing as public workshops, focus groups, and traditional gatherings are on hold until the COVID-19 crisis has passed.

This will be a ninety minute webinar which will provide attendees with specific tactics and tips for transitioning from the traditional workshop formats to address public health concerns in light of COVID-19.
Registration cost is $100 per agency. The registration process will request one agency representative email. Once registered, the identified agency representative will receive a calendar appointment with instructions for how to access the webinar. According to a 2016 Gallup poll 43% of the workforce works at home at least some of the time (globalworkplaceanalytics.com). As you know, the COVID-19 pandemic has pushed that number up exponentially. Without missing a beat, in response to shelter-in-place mandates, many of your employees began working remotely without any prior telework experience.
As a supervisor, who may have little experience yourself as a remote employee, it can feel like being thrown in the deep end of the pool without knowing how to swim. The purpose of this 90 minute webinar is to help supervisors and managers understand how to keep your team engaged and productive while working remotely.
RGS has been a virtual agency since its creation in 2002, so we know virtual teams can be just as effective as in-person, onsite teams. Additionally, we have been helping local government agencies transition their workforces to a remote/virtual presence in response to COVID-19 shelter in place orders. Benefit from our extensive knowledge in leading effectively no matter where you or your employees are working.
We will specifically address:
- Challenges of supervising remote employees
- Tools that facilitate communication and coordination of work
- Establishing parameters and expectations
- Gauging what an employee needs from you to move projects forward
- Maintaining a connection when “incidental” communications are no longer possible
