Leading Remote Teams/Employees Webinar
Apr 30 @ 10:00 am – 11:00 am

According to a 2016 Gallup poll 43% of the workforce works at home at least some of the time (globalworkplaceanalytics.com). As you know, the COVID-19 pandemic has pushed that number up exponentially. Without missing a beat, in response to shelter-in-place mandates, many of your employees began working remotely without any prior telework experience.

As a supervisor, who may have little experience yourself as a remote employee, it can feel like being thrown in the deep end of the pool without knowing how to swim. The purpose of this 90 minute webinar is to help supervisors and managers understand how to keep your team engaged and productive while working remotely.

RGS has been a virtual agency since its creation in 2002, so we know virtual teams can be just as effective as in-person, onsite teams. Additionally, we have been helping local government agencies transition their workforces to a remote/virtual presence in response to COVID-19 shelter in place orders. Benefit from our extensive knowledge in leading effectively no matter where you or your employees are working.

We will specifically address:

  • Challenges of supervising remote employees
  • Tools that facilitate communication and coordination of work
  • Establishing parameters and expectations
  • Gauging what an employee needs from you to move projects forward
  • Maintaining a connection when “incidental” communications are no longer possible

To register for this webinar, pay via PayPal using the form below. Please be sure to include the contact name and email for a person who will be attending the webinar (this individual should also be able to provide contact information for any additional participants on the paid registration). For registrations greater than 5 individuals, please contact Jo Miller directly at (650) 587-7300 x37 or via email at jmiller@rgs.ca.gov.

Effective Delegation @ Webinar
Jun 30 @ 10:00 am – 11:30 am

Local government agencies already struggled to do more with less, in terms of staffing, budgets, and time. The COVID -19 pandemic has only magnified the challenges that leaders face to get things done in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
Delegation can help local government leaders make the most of limited resources. Delegation skills serve as a critical nexus between time management, development, and engagement. In these times with all or part of your team working remotely, delegation has become increasingly critical and more complex.

Regional Government Services’ (RGS) Delegation Training provides an opportunity for local government agency leaders and staff to learn how to delegate effectively and/or fine tune existing delegation skills. We can teach you how to delegate effectively, no matter where your employees work.

We will specifically address:
• What Delegation Is/Isn’t
• Evaluating Your Delegation Skills
• The Benefits of Delegation
• Getting Past the Barriers to Delegation
• Successful Delegation Practices
• Planning Your Next Delegation
