Annie Kavanagh has worked in human resources for twenty years, and is an expert in quality of life issues, employee assistance, coaching, clarity, and organization development. As an HR generalist, she is adept at helping organizations and individuals develop and grow.
After graduating from San Jose State University with a degree in Recreational Therapy, Annie Kavanagh worked as a recreation therapist in community recreation programs and a volunteer director and financial manager in non-profit organizations for seven years. She began her human resources career with Computer Ware, a start-up Macintosh software company in Palo Alto, where she established and maintained the human resources department for over nine years as the company grew to 10 stores and corporate and international sales with 150 employees.
Annie then moved to Sonoma County where she became the first human resources director with O’Reilly and Associates, a technical publisher. She has worked as an HR analyst for Comp Analysis, a private-sector compensation firm, and has moved into the public sector, first writing policies with Fox Lawson and Associates, a public agency compensation firm and then with Regional Government Services Authority. Since September 2013, she has served as a human resources advisor with Regional Government Services Authority, assigned to various partner agencies.
Annie has a certificate in Human Resources Management from Sonoma State University.
