Dorothy Roberts joined Regional Government Services (RGS) as an Advisor in the City Clerk/Board Clerk service group in 2021. Dorothy assists RGS partner agencies by providing clerking services such as noticing and conducting public meetings, preparing agenda and minutes, managing records, responding to public records requests, and ensuring compliance with the Brown Act.

Prior to joining RGS, Dorothy had over thirty years of experience in municipal government clerking and administrative support. She also has experience in grant writing, and analyzing contracts, agreements, and leases as well as being proficient in legal and legislative research.

Dorothy has a master’s degree in public administration and a bachelor’s degree in English. She is a Certified Municipal Clerk.

Outside of work, Dorothy enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering at the local SPCA and spending time with dogs that need attention and care while waiting to be adopted, enjoying nature walks with her husband, reading, swimming, and biking (not all at the same time).
