Gary Petersen joined RGS in 2017 and currently serves as a Strategic Services Consultant in the both the Training and the Strategic Planning and Organizational Development Services Lines.
Gary has nearly fifty years’ experience as a leader in local government as well as a twenty-year concurrent career as a consultant in organizational development. As a seasoned executive leader, he is skilled at planning and managing multiple complex projects and systems. Throughout Gary’s career, he has been known for “bringing every faction of the community together to solve problems.”
A lifelong public servant and change agent, Gary is currently serving as a City Council member in Nevada City.
Outside of work, Gary enjoys gardening, music, reading, and appreciating the natural wonders of the Sierra Nevada.
