John Mercurio joined Regional Government Services as a Senior Advisor in 2020. He provides both financial and project management consulting services to partner agencies. His areas of expertise include program and project management, grant administration, budget administration, and collaboration with government officials and advisory groups.
Prior to joining RGS, John had twenty-four years of experience as a project analyst and manager for municipal projects. He has broad experience in public agencies, advisory groups, and commissions as well as in-depth experience as a consultant.
John has a bachelor’s degree in social science and a master’s degree in public administration, as well as a high school teaching credential.
Outside of work, John enjoys long-distance hiking and running. When he is relaxing, it is usually with a book on some aspect of California or American history.
