Finance
Matt joined RGS as a Senior Advisor in the Finance service group in 2021. Having served as finance director in several municipalities and managed all aspects of both finance and administrative functions, he provides high level consulting services for RGS partner agencies. Currently, for example, Matt is working on a financial report compilation for one agency, providing Accounting Manager level special project work for another agency and an assessment of finance processes and recommendations for another agency.
Matt has over thirty-two years of experience in municipal finance, which includes twenty-three years’ experience in finance and administrative management in local government with expertise in accounting, budgeting, purchasing, payroll, debt financing, and information technology. He also served as an auditor for local government and special districts for the first nine years of his career.
Matt has a bachelor’s degree in business economics with an emphasis in accounting and is a licensed C.P.A.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with wife and family of seven children and three grandchildren.
