MJ Brown joined RGS as a Senior Advisor in 2020. She provides clerking services to RGS partner agencies.
MJ has over fourteen years of experience providing professional administrative and clerking services in public sector agencies. Her expertise includes administration of public meetings, oversight of department functions, contract management, budget development and management, and public information and records retention management. In addition, MJ is knowledgeable in public officer election processes, conflict of interest codes, personal finance disclosure as well as Public Records Act and Brown Act compliance.
MJ has a bachelor’s in psychology and a Board Secretary/Clerk certification from the California Special District Association.
Outside of work, enjoys spending time with her family and pets, writes short stories and poetry, and is working on the production of a podcast.
