Sam Gennawey joined RGS in 2017 as a Senior Advisor. Sam is an experienced Urban Planning and Community Outreach expert bringing knowledge and experience gained from more than 170 projects and the design and implementation of more than 1,000 public workshops. Sam is a skilled Project Manager and has led multi-disciplinary teams through controversial public projects on time and on budget while exceeding the client’s expectations. He has expertise as a Public Policy Strategy Specialist with extensive organizational development experience.
In addition, he is the author of four books; Walt Disney and the Promise of Progress City (2011), The Disneyland Story: The Unofficial Guide to the Evolution of Walt Disney’s Dream (2013), Universal vs. Disney: The Unofficial Guide to American Theme Parks’ Greatest Rivalry (2014), JayBangs!: How Jay Stein, MCA, and Universal Invented the Modern Theme Park and Beat Disney at its Own Game (2016).
Sam has a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in Urban Planning from DePaul University, Chicago, Illinois.
