Scott Harriman joined RGS in 2016 as an Advisor. Scott has over twenty years of experience in municipal planning. His experience, skills and knowledge include excellent management skills with emphasis in problem solving, customer service, and staff supervision and a strong practical and theoretical foundation in urban planning. Scott has experience with historical, architectural and infrastructure design review, and public administration.
Scott is experienced in processing complex land use proposals involving design review, conditional use permits, coastal commission and environmental review, variances, subdivisions, and historic preservation. Scott has proven success in reducing permit processing turn-around time and implementing procedural improvements. He is experienced working in high-volume planning agencies in challenging and time-sensitive situations. In addition, Scott has managed Planning Commissions and has presented planning projects and reports to community groups, City Councils and Planning Commissions.
Scott is a Certified Planner through the America Institute of Certified Planners. He has a Bachelor of Public Administration degree from the University of San Francisco and an Associate of Science Engineering Technology from Modesto Junior College.
